Hi all, Happy Friday! Sorry for missing Friday Florals last week but today I am showcasing the dahlia. Along with daisies and sunflowers, dahlias are apart of the Asteraceae family, which is the second largest group of flowers. They are very popular as garden flowers and bloom in early spring all the way to the beginning of fall. Native to Mexico, dahlias come in shades of white, yellow, orange, red, pink, and burgundy.

One detail about dahlias that make them so great is that they are extremely resistant to cold and rainy weather (perfect for those who live in unexpected weather!) If you are having a spring or summer wedding, it may be time to think about incorporating the dahlia.

As you can see, dahlias are very captivating and make a beautiful flower. I hope you enjoyed this week’s Friday Floral just as much as I did. It is a flower that is truly flawless should you share it in your weddings, in centerpieces or any other event.
