Yoga is more than just movements; it is a way of life. Yoga is a practice and so are so many sports that we participate in. It is something that is meant to be worked on continuously. It is not meant to be done once every couple of months. The best way I can think of yoga is to compare it to going to the gym but not seeing results. In order to see results, you have to work hard and you have to eat well. Yoga is meant to be practiced, to be worked on and to challenge yourself every time.
Yoga is a way of emphasizing what is important to us; breathe, honoring our body, grace and kindness through a series of movements. Yoga keeps me grounded during the hard time, helps me heal through sad times and mostly exults me during good times. Yoga is better than any drug you can take. Yoga is like a friend. It is a friend that is there when you need calm and a place of energy for uplifting.
