I just got back from the most heavenly trip in Napa Valley for Bottlerock music festival. Let’s say as much as I enjoyed the music, I definitely enjoyed the nature and vineyard tours much better. I think if I lived in SF, I would be in wine country just about every weekend! I mean who wouldn’t be? (for all the newly engaged ladies, what a beautiful destination for a wedding!)

It’s finally summer or at least it feels far more like summer than the weather at home has been gifting us. I am sharing a few things that I feel happy about today on the blog.

  1. For starters, I am in a much better place in my life than where I was a few months ago (more on this topic next week). I went back and forth on whether to share this with my you but I have decided it will only allow you to get to know me better and sometimes things aren’t perfect & we are afraid to show that. And, this is something I believe so many women go through. Having said that, I feel so much happier. Stay tuned for next Tuesday’s post.
  2. Tomorrow is my birthday! The last few months I have been having what I felt was a quarter life crisis. Yes, one of those! But, as I get closer to the “big” day tomorrow, I feel like I am doing alright. I manage my career and the blog and still make time for friends, family and things that I enjoy.
  3. There are so many exciting things that are happening in the next few weeks that I barely feel like I have time to keep decorating my home! I love summer because it’s the time to wear cute little dresses like this one ($98) or this one ($88). Lately, I have been very into white dresses. As much as you have to think twice about everything you do, they are light and simple but still so chic. For the longest time, I wanted the Aquazura lace-up heels but couldn’t justify spending so much money on shoes that you can only wear so often. I came across these that are far less expensive and just as nice! (fact: they are more comfortable than the Steve Madden ones, I couldn’t get my little toe to not hurt!). If you haven’t already, check out my post on Instagram with my white dress from Lumier ($116). I am completely in love with the cut and back, so perfect for luncheons, parties & a warm summer day!
