I got this alpaca ombre cape on the day before I left for our Colorado trip and it was a purchase that I am so glad I made. I often reach for it when grabbing a cup of coffee in the morning over some jeans and a shirt, or to where to dinner and during a walk in the village as shown here in Colorado. Unfortunately, I can’t seem to find this particular cape online (even though it is from Nordstrom) but I’ve linked similar ones here, here, here and here. The one I am wearing is from The Fisher Project at Nordstrom.
I stayed cozy inside with this AG sweater, these coated AG jeans, and this beanie. The layers are all warm enough to wear on a cooler day in Los Angeles or to make the short trip from the hotel to the village for dinner. I never underestimate the power of layering (especially with thin under shirts, scarves, beanies and gloves).
I have a few pairs of winter boots that I love rotating through. But, I love this pair (pictured) of Chanel boots. True fact, I loved them so much I got them in black too. There are similar pairs just like these that you can buy at Neiman Marcus. Or, I also love these Frye boots, these Stuart Weitzman low boots, or this pair.
We’re back home but already planning our next trip to the snow, this time with some of our friends! I can’t wait to get back into the cold and to do a few more winter activities. I’ll be sure to pack some warm clothes and layers. Banana Republic offers some really great and inexpensive layering options like this boatneck sweater. J.Crew just released some more of their winter items and I have my eye on this marbled cable sweater and this fair isle sweater (on sale), along with this puffer and this one.
