No Monday blues here. I spent the weekend in Santa Barbara celebrating one of my closest friends birthday. We wined, dined and did a whole lot of laughing. I’ve been yearning for these relaxing getaways so this was the perfect way to end my weekend. I wore this romper while I was out in Santa Barbara. I love that I can wear up with heels and I plan to pack it in my suitcase for my upcoming beach trip. It’s one of those piece you can wear up with some wedges like these (25% off) or these, or down with these block sandals or these sandals.

I’ve been on a blue color kick lately, it seems as though everything attracts me to blue or pink hues. These colors go beyond my wardrobe into my home decorations. I have been trying to find the perfect blue colored wallpaper for our guest bathroom, not too strong nor too many patterns. Let’s just say we’re getting closer and closer to finally choosing the wallpaper we want. I plan to do a guest bedroom & bathroom reveal once we finish decorating those rooms.

It seems as though I haven’t travel in quite some time despite the local trips to Laguna Beach and Santa Barbara. Do you ever feel like you’re aching to get away? That’s kind of how I feel right now although the thought of leaving Mia for ten days makes me sad. In anticipation of my trip, I wanted to share with you some of my travel tips and what I take with me. I used to get all dressed up for traveling and now I revert to traveling in comfort. That usually means a comfortable pair of leggings (despite United’s little dilemma it’s still very much so acceptable). I love this pair of “barely there” leggings because quite literally they are so comfortable and you don’t feel like you’re wearing leggings. If you’re trying to be less casual and more athleisure, I love this pair of moto leggings to pair with a comfortable sweater like this one or this cozy top (currently on sale $40). I like to travel in sneakers or espadrilles because of the ease of removing them for security or on the plane. I love this pair of sneakers, and these.  You can never forget a comfortable cardigan for when the plane turns up that air conditioner. I know you know what I’m talking about. Be sure to grab an interesting book, a bottle of water and some snacks to snack on.
